CHARITY AND EVENTS

Charitable work is a cornerstone principle of Freemasonry.  Freemasonry is one of the largest charitable givers in the country, contributing £26.3m to deserving causes in 2023/2024. Freemasons do not only donate money – millions of hours of volunteer work is undertaken by our members in their communities every year.

And being a member of the Porta Maris Lodge is no different; our Charity Steward  has co-ordinated donations to The Salvation Army, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital. Louie's Helping Hands, Mind, the Mental Health Charity, Macmillan Cancer Support and lots more, all pledged by members, guests and visitors at lodge meetings, events, and festive boards.
