Porta Maris held a Christmas Lunch charity event in support of The Salvation Army Homeless Appeal. It was again well attended and raised around £500 for the charity.

Porta Maris held a charity event in a members garden in support of Breast Cancer. It was well attended and raised around £250 for the charity. Even the weather was kind during the afternoon.
Armed Forces Charity Night
Porta Maris hosted an Armed Forces Night at New Cross Street Temple . Attendance was good and around £300 was raised for the charity of the night.
Area 8 Late Summer BBQ - 2025
The Late Summer BBQ was held in September and was well attended by all Lodges from Area 8 and raised over £2000 for charity.
Travelling Gavel
The Travelling Gavel is an inter-lodge light-hearted event, where members
of other lodges attend the current holders lodge meeting to claim
ownership of the "Gavel".
Porta Maris recently relinquished the "Gavel" to another lodge earlier in 2025.
